mourner This is some great German black metal. Fantastic riffs and very dynamic structure of the songs. Well written and produced. It's hard to stop listening to this album once you've started. Put it on repeat and you are done for. And yes, Ippocalyptica, I can hear some Bølzer in this, too.

Ippocalyptica Much has been written elsewhere about the strong Cascadian influence on Sun Worship’s sound, and while there is truth in that, does no one else really not detect the Bolzer-style melodies on at least this album? Am I losing my mind? In any event, this is atmospheric, straightforward, and fast-paced black metal, full of blastbeats and tremolo riffing, with stronger dynamic range than previous releases. Vocals remain the weakest component, but do not detract too much from this strong effort.
